Favourite drugstore lipsticks

lipsticks

I’m not really a big fan of lipsticks but, I do love nude lipsticks. I prefer lipsticks that give my lips a slight colour to them. Today I am showing all my current favourite lipsticks – which are mainly nudes! Also, all of the lipsticks are from the drugstore which means they’re worth it. Below are swatches of each lipstick colour and, why I like these lipsticks.

The first lipstick is the NYX Professional Makeup Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in the shade Sandstorm. This is the perfect soft brown nude colour. It is not heavy on the lips and has a matte finish. What I love is, it doesn’t dry down quickly, therefore I have time to spread the colour all over my lips without it drying and cracking. It is very pigmented so one layer will do the trick and, has a nice applicator which can get the small areas. However, the only thing I dislike about this product is the scent. It has a chemically smell to it which I don’t like but, when applied to the lips the scent goes away.

The second lipstick is the Collection Lock n Hold lipgloss in the shade Beat Box. This lipgloss is not pigmented but it gives a beautiful shine to the lips. It has a slight pinkish brownish colour to it which creates a nice colour to the lips. The scent of this lipgloss is amazing, it has a sweet fruity smell to it.

The third lipstick is the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in the shade Sepia Silk (231). First and foremost, I extremely love the packaging of this lipstick – it’s really elegant and classy. This formula is great as my lips feel moisturised and hydrated. It’s more of a satin finish and, the colour is a really soft brown. The smell of this lipstick is lovely. It smells like argan oil and a little bit of vanilla.

Another favourite drugstore lipstick is Makeup Revolution London Iconic Pro Lipstick in the shade You’re a star. The packaging is rose gold and black – which ‘surprise’ ‘surprise’, I love! This has a satin finish and the colour is a stunning light pink. It’s not too bright neither too dark, just the right shade for me. The scent is delightful as it smells like cupcakes and vanilla.

The last lipstick is the No7 High Shine Lipgloss in the shade Just Peachy. It’s moisturising and glides easily on the lips. It has a magnificent shine and a smooth application. It has a slight coral peach colour to it but it’s not that intense. It looks beautiful on the lips because it looks so shiny – like a glazed doughnut. The lipgloss has a sweet fruity scent which I like.
